This course, HEO Level-1, is designed to provide a comprehensive overview of heavy equipment operator responsibilities, heavy equipment safety and career opportunities. Topics include safety, identification of heavy equipment, preventive maintenance, earth moving, finishing and grading as well as a focus on four introductory pieces of equipment; Roller, Off-Road Truck, Excavator and Bulldozer. Instruction will include hands-on driving skills tests.
